Ira Rosenblum and Kenneth Karpel are to be married Sunday at Water’s Edge, an event space in Long Island City, Queens. Rabbi Sharon Kleinbaum is to officiate.
Mr. Rosenblum (left), 59, is the director of publications at the Juilliard School in Manhattan, from which he received a Master of Music in piano performance. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
He is a son of the late Hannah Rosenblum and the late Harold Rosenblum, who lived in Orlando, Fla.
Mr. Karpel, 65, retired as the vice president of architecture and engineering for the New York City School Construction Authority in Long Island City. He is now an architectural consultant in Manhattan. He graduated cum laude from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with two bachelor’s degrees, one in building science and the other in architecture. He is the son of the late Sylvia Karpel and the late Kermit Karpel, who lived in the Bronx.
