Prudential Douglas Elliman has become the first major residential firm to open a Long Island City office.
Located at 4737 Vernon Boulevard, the new office will open its doors in early April.
“We’re very excited to be the first major residential brokerage in Long Island City,” said Dottie Herman, President and CEO of Prudential Douglas Elliman.

“This new office expands our presence and growth across the landscape of Queens and is an important link to our dominance in both Manhattan and Brooklyn. It is also a great connection to our deep resources in the areas of new developments, rentals, sales and retail. With the opening of this new office, we anticipate experiencing a tremendous amount of activity in this already popular neighborhood.”
The Prudential Douglas Elliman Long Island City office space will house retail space on the ground floor, and the downstairs will be outfitted as a creative space for agents to brainstorm and recharge, featuring a lounge and pool table.
The office will be managed by Rick Rosa, a Long Island City resident since 1999 and the first Elliman agent to do work in the neighborhood. Rosa originally joined Elliman in 2004 and left briefly in 2009, but has returned to Elliman specifically to open and manage this office.

“We are very fortunate to have Rick heading up our new Long Island City office, as he is an incredibly seasoned agent with strong leadership skills and an ‘inside-and-out’ understanding of the neighborhood,” said Yuval Greenblatt, executive vice president of Prudential Douglas Elliman.
“He is a great advocate of Long Island City and is the perfect choice to manage this office.”
“As a longtime resident of Long Island City, I know what a great place it is to live in, with its convenient transportation, wonderful restaurants and abundance of parking,” said Rick Rosa, manager of the LIC office.
“I really see Long Island City as an extension of Manhattan. It’s convenient, accessible, and great for families.”
The Long Island City office will specialize in new developments, but will work across all avenues of business including rentals, sales, re-sales and retail.
