It is cool that we have some big institutions in LIC like PS1. But on
the other hand there’s a vibrant startup community. The Long Island
City Arts Center at 4402 on 23rd St. is definitely the heart. In the
upcoming LIC Arts Open, May 12 to May 20, you will see lots of events
here. Two galleries, dozens of studios, schools, performing arts like
comedy and theater. And a street party May 19.
