Though crime numbers in the 112 Precinct have been trending downward, headline-grabbing stories have still managed to pop up in the borough this weekend.
A veteran from Long Island City was stabbed after a group of young women attacked him on the subway, according to the New York Daily News.
Police arrested a group of eight young women in the attack, which was broken up in part by another subway passenger.
In addition to the subway knifing, one man was killed in a knife fight outside a restaurant in nearby Corona on Roosevelt Avenue, the Daily News wrote Sunday.
