With Labor Day comes a host of parties and restaurant promotions throughout the city. Here are some deals offered on Monday only, unless otherwise noted:
An unlimited booze brunch is offered at MexiBBQ, 37-11 30th Avenue (between 37th and 38th Streets), in Astoria, Queens, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the cost of one entrée plus $11.
Maison Premiere, 298 Bedford Avenue (Grand Street), in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, celebrates the end of summer from noon to 8 p.m. with food specials, live music and an oyster-eating competition beginning at 4 p.m. Competitors can enter for $50 per person by signing up ahead of time at [email protected] and putting down a deposit.
A Labor Day garden party starts at 5:30 p.m. at the Sunburnt Calf BK, 611 Vanderbilt Avenue (between St. Mark’s Avenue and Bergen Street), in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Free servings of suckling pig, draft beer, house wine and cocktails will be served in a new outdoor garden space. A suggested donation of $10 is requested, which will benefit P.S. 9 in the neighborhood.
A tomato festival kicks off on Monday and runs through Sept. 9 at Alobar, 46-62 Vernon Boulevard, in Long Island City, Queens, with a rotating $32 two-course prix-fixe menu featuring tomatoes from local farms. The price includes a glass of wine or a cocktail.

A night brunch served outdoors takes place at Yotel New York, 570 10th Avenue (West 42nd Street), in Hell’s Kitchen, on Friday from 5 to 11 p.m. For $40 a person ($20 for children), guests get two hours of free food and cocktails on the terrace. There will be live music. Reservations are not required but suggested, (646) 449-7790.
The Lambs Club, 132 West 44th Street (Broadway), in Midtown, serves up a special ramp kimchee glazed pork ribs and a choice of two beers for $40 per person, starting Friday through Monday, in the mezzanine bar.
The wildly successful food hall Eataly, 200 Fifth Avenue (23rd Street), in the Flatiron district, celebrates its second anniversary beginning Friday through Sept. 9 with special deals on products, including dried pastas, olive oil, fish and wine.
All the pork-centric dishes served are locally sourced at the annual Pig Island event on Governors Island on Saturday, which runs from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Other activities include butchering and cooking demos (sponsored by Wüsthof), live music and tastes of New York wines, cider and craft beer. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Food Systems Network NYC, Earth Matter and Kingsborough Community College. Tickets are $85 per person.
A traditional New England crab boil will take place at Back Forty, 190 Avenue B (East 12th Street), in Alphabet City, on Saturday starting at 12:30 p.m. The deal, $45 per person, includes piles of spiced crabs and sides of cornbread, corn on the cob, boiled new potatoes and string beans. A summer fruit cobbler is offered for dessert.
A behind-the-scenes tour of Dallis Bros. Coffee plant, 100-32 Atlantic Avenue, in Ozone Park, Queens, will be given on Saturday from 1 to 4:30 p.m. The tour, $10 per person, includes talks on roasting coffee, its history in New York and a tasting. For the Sunday PicNYC, beer at a Sixpoint Beer Garden and food from an array of vendors will be available on Governors Island from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The $20 tickets, which can be purchased online, includes passes for three beers or glasses of wine.
U.S. Open ticket holders will receive 20 percent off food at Spice Market, 403 West 13th Street (Ninth Avenue), in the meatpacking district, through the rest of the tournament’s duration. The offer is good for a table of four or less when you bring your ticket.
The Water Club, located on the East River between 28th and 32nd Streets, is offering a twist on the traditional clambake through September. The upscale spin on the feast — your seafood is de-shelled tableside —is $38 per person, which includes half a lobster, filet of cod, clams, scallops, corn, sweet carrots and potatoes.
