For the third straight year
(Long Island, NY) For the third straight year, Jacqueline Harounian, of Wisselman, Harounian Associates, P.C., has been named by New York Super Lawyers magazine as one of the top attorneys in metro New York for 2012. Only five percent of the lawyers in the state are named by Super Lawyers, for attaining a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
As an additional honor, Ms. Harounian is included in the 2012 Top 50 Women New York Super Lawyers list. The lawyers on the Top 50 list received the highest point totals in the New York Metro nomination, research and blue ribbon review process. Of note, Ms. Harounian is the only Long Island divorce and family law attorney on the list.
Two of Ms. Harounian’s successful appellate cases were reported on the front page of The New York Law Journal in 2012. One case, Koegler v. Woodard, a relocation case, was successfully defended up to the Court of Appeals, which is the highest court in New York State.
Ms. Harounian received her J.D. with honors from Hofstra School of Law in 1994, graduating with distinction in the top 10% of her class. She began working as an Associate in the firm in 1994 and she was named Partner in 2006. Ms. Harounian has resided in Great Neck for 22 years with her husband Maurice, and their four children who all attend Great Neck Public Schools.
