QEDC’s Entrepreneur Space Holds Second Birthday Bash In LIC
Queens Economic Development Corp Announces Entrepreneur Space’s Second Birthday in Long Island City
(Long Island, NY) Roughly 50 artisanal food-and-drink makers gave samples of their products to about 300 revelers at the Entrepreneur Space’s second birthday party in Long Island City on March 6.
Participants enjoyed everything from the wacky (ginger-wasabi marshmallows) to the healthy (quinoa energy bars) to the sublime (South African lychee ginger ale).

Co-sponsored by Coffeed, a new café in LIC, and Delta, there was extra excitement in the air because Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia had just announced plans to provide mentoring and advice to E-Space clients through MSLO’s American Made program, which seeks to highlight artisan products made by small businesses. Operated via a partnership between the Queens Economic Development Corp. and the NYC Economic Development Corp., the E-Space is a 12,500-sq.-ft. hub with a fully equipped commercial kitchen, offices and classrooms that entrepreneurs rent at below-market rates as they build their businesses.
