ASTORIA — Popular Astoria eatery The Queens Kickshaw turns two this week, and its celebrating with a massive lineup of anniversary beers and a festive party on Thursday that will feature live music and a preview of its new dinner menu.
All week, Queens Kickshaw will be serving a variety of draft and bottled beers, all of them anniversary-edition brews from a number of craft breweries.
Then on Thursday, the restaurant is throwing an anniversary featuring live tunes from the Balkan funk band Tipsy Oxcart.
The party will culminate with a celebratory toast, and diners will be able to get a sneak-peek at some of the dishes to be featured on the eatery’s new dinner menu.
The Queens Kickshaw was opened two years ago at 40-17 Broadway by husband and wife team Ben Sandler and Jennifer Lim, two Astoria residents.
The restaurant specializes in craft ales and ciders, and a menu of upscale grilled cheese sandwiches and other dishes turned out by head chef Youngsun Lee, formerly of Craftbar and Momofuku Noodle Bar.
