Long Island City’s Hunters Point believes in starting them young, which is why the CrossFit Gantry gym is going to start offering CrossFit for babies. Children as young as three will soon be able to workout like grown bodybuilders, though DNAinfo reports that the classes will be scaled down a bit. “Unlike the adult version of the workouts, Gantry Kids won’t be expected to lift a kettlebell above their heads. The classes will teach them the traditional CrossFit movements, like squats and overhead presses, but without weights.”
To be honest, the classes sound awesome (and where is the adult version): other non-weight activities will include building castles out of mats, crab walks, and squatting “while pretending to be an angry gorilla.”
