Honoring A Long Island City Legend
Family, friends and politicians gathered to remember the life of Jerry Ingenito during a street co-naming ceremony meant to honor the late Long Island City resident and youth basketball coach held Saturday, Sept. 21, at the corner of 38th Street and Greenpoint Avenue. Ingenito coached basketball for St. Raphael’s Church CYO and Christ the King Regional High School. Pictured holding the street sign are Ingenito’s mother and father, Maryann and Richard Ingenito.
