This one seems to have flown under our radar, but apparently Astoria Cove-developer Alma Realty has been planning a massive new development in Long Island City since at least 2010. Known, at least at one point, as Alma Towers, the project was delayed and resurfaced in October of 2013, with plans calling for an 18-story building with 232 units (which means that the above rendering, with two buildings, is likely outdated). Brownstoner Queens posted an update today, albeit not much of one — the developers will have to refile their permits to reflect the changes to the design. Hey, no rush, guys.
