The New York City subway is more popular than ever with several stops experiencing a tremendous increase in ridership. According to a recent report by the MTA, the Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue stop on the No. 7 line in Long Island City has experienced a 12 percent increase in weekday riders to more than 14,000 making it one of the busiest in the city. Daily weekday ridership across the entire subway system has reached 5.6 million people for the first time since last year.
