A Chorus Line Is Coming to Long Island City
In celebration of the show’s 40th anniversary, Secret Theatre Musicals will present the Tony-winning musical A Chorus Line in Long Island City for a three-week run next month.
Directed by Tom Rowan, the Equity showcase production will open Jan. 28, 2016. Evan Zavada is the musical director; the original Michael Bennett choreography will be re-staged by choreographer Geena Quintos, who played Connie in the show’s most recent national tour.
Secret Theatre’s A Chorus Line will star Matthew LaBanca (Young Frankenstein) as director/choreographer Zach and Jennifer Knox (Goodspeed’s Show Boat) as Cassie. The cast also includes Kelly Barberito as Vicky, Adrian Grace Bumpas as Kristine, Sarah DeNight as Tricia, Madeline Fansler as Sheila, Devon Frieder as Val, Drew Michael Gardner as Paul, Shiori Ichikawa as Connie, Thaddeus Kolwicz as Frank, Kevin Lagasse as Roy, Loulu Luzi as Judy, Markus McClain as Mark, Geoffrey Mergele as Greg, Amanda Phillips as Maggie, Joe Pudetti as Al, Geena Quintos as Diana, Caleb Schaaf as Bobby, Jonny Stein as Mike and Anthony Wright as Richie. Richard Mazda is the producer.
The Secret Theatre is located at 44-02 23rd St., Long Island City. Performances run through Feb. 14; tickets, priced $18, will be available soon at SecretTheatre.com.
