Long Island City, N.Y.—Apartments featuring awe-inspiring views of the Manhattan skyline are now being leased at Aurora, a new 30-story, 132-residence mixed-use luxury rental tower in Long Island City, N.Y. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing has been appointed to exclusively perform the marketing and leasing functions at Aurora.
Designed by Michael Arad of Handel Architects and developed by G. Holdings, Aurora offers floor plans that range from one- to three-bedroom configurations. Apartments feature floor-to-ceiling windows, nine- to 11-foot ceiling heights, wide plank oak flooring and solar shades.
Kitchens deliver pure white quartz countertops; Bertazzoni stainless steel gas ranges, ovens and stoves; Bosch built-in dishwashers and paneled Liebherr built-in refrigerators.
Among the luxury features and finishes in Aurora bathrooms are porcelain tile floors, Grohe chrome showers and faucets and recessed lighting.
The “Aurora Sky Lounge” fills the building’s top floor, featuring ultra modern fitness center, double-height residents’ lounge, rooftop sun deck and awe-inspiring perspectives on the Long Island City and Manhattan skylines. On lower floors are a 24-hour attended lobby, communal laundry room, catering kitchen, private storage, bicycle storage and parking garage.
“Aurora is a fantastic new addition to Long Island City, which has seen extreme growth in the past several years,” said Douglas Elliman Development Marketing’s Marketing Director Jason Hill. “With exquisite finishes, highly-designed interiors, a wonderful suite of lifestyle amenities and a prime location, Aurora is a truly special place to live and stands out among the typical New York City glass towers.”
Aurora is located at 29-11 Queens Plaza North, across the street from Dutch Kills Green. Nearby are the Long Island Railroad Hunters Point Station, as well as the Queens Plaza transportation hub, providing access to the E, M, 7, N Q and R trains. With the cultural infrastructure of Long Island City in full flower, Aurora residents will savor an array of dining, drinking, artistic and nightlife alternatives within an easy walk or short ride by cab or Uber.
“Long Island City is such an exciting and thriving destination in New York City, convenient to Manhattan, but with a great identity of its own and absolutely beautiful skyline views,” said G. Holdings principal Etai Gross.
“This project was very thoughtfully designed and offers luxurious and spacious apartments, while also bringing new amenities including retail, parking and a hotel to the community as it continues to grow.”
Gross noted that the site upon which Aurora is built serves as a gateway to Manhattan at the threshold of the Queensboro Bridge, and added, “We are thrilled to be contributing to the continued growth and vitality of the Queens Plaza area.”
Available for August 1 residency, one-, two- and three-bedroom residences start at $2,750, $3,650 and $5,100 respectively.
