The Harrison, a 120-unit luxury condominium located at 27-21 44th Drive in Long Island City, has officially launched sales. Developed by Silvercup Properties to be the tallest residential condominium development in Long Island City, the luxury property will feature unparalleled views of the New York City skyline. The Harrison will offer a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom units that will range in price from $470,000 to $2.5 million. Exclusive penthouse units with garden space are also available. Occupancy is slated for spring 2017.
Silvercup Properties is a partnership between Alan and Stuart Suna, who own Silvercup Studios, and Mark Gold, a principal at Silvercup Properties. The partnership tapped Long Island City’s leading brokerage firm, Modern Spaces, to exclusively market and sell the 27-story property, which was designed by GF55 Partners. S2 Construction, a Long Island City-based company, is leading the build-out, which will be completed by May 2017.
“The Harrison offers the best of Court Square, Long Island City’s most vibrant area,” said Alan Suna of Silvercup Properties. “The Harrison’s design features a warm, articulated masonry façade that distinguishes it from nearby glass towers. The classically styled building thoughtfully mixes a traditional exterior with modern interiors and finishes, which create a welcoming, high-end home environment.”
The Harrison features stainless steel appliances, Technistone countertops and Shakerstyle cabinetry. South facing residences, on floors four through 14, offer sweeping vistas of the Manhattan skyline, while units on floors 16 through 25 feature balconies. Additionally, certain units on floors 15 and 26 boast large terraces and two rear-facing, second-floor units provide access to large private backyards.
“Residences at The Harrison will have unmatched views of New York City,” Eric Benaim, CEO and founder of Modern Spaces. “We expect these homes to sell quickly. Court Square is a sought-after neighborhood of Long Island City where condominiums in full-service, amenity-rich buildings are in high demand. The Harrison also offers units with ample outdoor spaces—a coveted feature in any New York City market.”
Building amenities at The Harrison include a 24-hour attended lobby, a fitness center, a children’s playroom and an indoor/outdoor rooftop lounge. Gated parking and storage units are also available for purchase.
Located in the Court Square area of Long Island City, The Harrison is diagonally across from the Citicorp Tower, granting direct access to the E, M, 7, and G trains at the Court Square subway stop. In the past five years, Long Island City has become known for its diverse range of restaurants, chic boutiques, arts and culture venues and waterfront parks.
