LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — Apartments near Court Square are up for grabs, starting at $908-a-month.
The city is holding a housing lottery to fill 34 new affordable housing units in Watermark LIC, a 27-story construction which is expected to open this summer at 27-15 44th Drive.
According to NYC Housing Connect, 14 studio apartments are available at $908 per month to individuals who make between $33,018 and $ 40,080-a-year.
For people making below $40,080 or two tenants making with a shared income of below $45,840, one-bedrooms are $974.
There are also five two-bedroom apartments available for $1,176 for two people who make below $45,840 annually, three people making below to $51,540 or four people who make less than $ 57,240 yearly.
Watermark LIC‘s amenities include a garden, work lounge, conference room, sky deck and laundry room, at an additional charge. The building is located near the 7, M, E, G, Q, N and R trains.
The deadline for lottery applications, which can be submitted online or mailed to the Department of Affordable Housing, is June 14.
Residents of Queens Community Board 2, which covers Long Island City, Sunnyside and Maspeth, will be preferred for fifty percent of the units. Seven percent of the units will be allocated for people with disabilities. An additional five percent will be given to municipal workers.
