If you’re dying for a dip but don’t want to shell out $20,000 (yup–$20K) for a pool package at the Dream Downtown, you now have another option. The Ravel Hotel in Long Island City just opened Profundo Pool Club on its third-floor rooftop.
As you can see here, the pool offers of a good number of daybeds for lounging and canoodling, or just catching up on the New Yorker now that they’re throwing the word “cock” around.
Here’s a closer look at one of them:
And, from friends and family night, a look at the pool in all of its glowing glory.
Here’s a walk-through that shows off the chaise longues and the adjacent beer garden:
At four feet deep, the pool isn’t all that deep, given that it’s named Profundo. And it’s definitely not the size of McCarren Park Pool. But then again can you sip frozen roses and tiki drinks while listening to poolside DJs at McCarren?
Of course, as we know from Williamsburg’s hotel pools, chilling isn’t cheap. A day pass here is $50, a lawn daybed for two is $200 and a poolside daybed for four is $400, plus fees (the daybed prices serve as credits toward food and drink). If that doesn’t scare you off, you can make reservations right here.
