Saturday, September 23 was a special day for Mount Sinai Queens. The Long Island City Family Health Day was a huge success. Families and friends enjoyed the music, food and fun activities for kids and adults of all ages. There was delicious healthy food, yoga, dancing, hula hoops and of course, free blood pressure screenings for adults. Held at the LIC Landing, at 52-10 Center Blvd. at Hunters Point Park South, the event, held from noon to 3 pm, was emblematic of the growing LIC community, as everyone attending seemed to enjoy gathering together so much.—Tony Barsamian
